The Project
What is Andalucía Mesh: the gateway to the LoRa radio mesh of Cádiz and Andalusia, with maps, statistics, and alerts to protect it.
Andalucía Mesh is the gateway to the LoRa radio mesh network of Cádiz and the rest of Andalusia. It gathers what happens across the network in a single place: active nodes, channel load, troubled nodes, and how you can join.
What is the mesh
A decentralized network of small radio devices—nodes—that exchange messages without requiring Internet or cellular coverage. Packets hop from node to node until reaching their destination. Each node belongs to a citizen who deployed it at home, in a vehicle, or at a high elevation point. Together, they cover the territory using the license-free 868 MHz ISM band with very low power.
What you will find here
- MeshView: live mesh traffic, packet by packet, showing routes and who hears whom.
- PotatoMesh: interactive map and chat for public channels, with node details.
- Provincial Map (on the home page): active node counts and estimated channel saturation across each Andalusian province.
- Rankings: top spectrum consumers, nodes in danger, and top contributors.
- Alerts: automated anomaly detection with risk levels and affected scopes.
- Bots for Telegram and Discord delivering alerts straight to your community group.
- Public API for developers wishing to integrate real-time mesh data.
- Guides to configure your node and connect your gateway.
Purpose
The mesh belongs to everyone, and a single misconfigured node can degrade communication for the entire community. This project aims to:
- Inspect network health at a glance.
- Detect risks early: dying repeater batteries, reboot loops, channel congestion, or bad parameters.
- Provide clear setup instructions and actionable diagnostic tools.
- Give the regional community an open hub for documentation and monitoring.
Cádiz, and all Andalusia
Born in Chipiona (Cádiz), the project embraces all eight Andalusian provinces to build regional resilience.
Non-profit and open
This project is completely free, non-profit, and open-source. It does not sell equipment, install commercial trackers, or charge fees.
